Greer gives the phrase, “Daddy’s Girl” a whole new meaning. She is over the top. The other night I was opening a night time snack for her, the kind with 2 small cakes in a package. I handed her the first one I pulled from the package, she promptly said, “Chanck Choo”…I pointed to the other one still in the package and said, “Mommy’s cake”. Then this 2-year-old tells me that is her Daddy’s cake, screams to get his attention and tattles that I am going to eat his cake…Really? How did that become his cake? Did she see me weigh this morning? Did she know that it was going to rain for 7 days straight and that I was not going to run? Was she still mad because I put her in time out 5 times this week? I didn’t quite grasp it until I followed her into the living room and watched her hand “the cake” to him; it was the look in her eye…I knew then that she feels loved, protected and perfect in his eyes…just one more thing her and I have in common.
Any Questions?
