...as promised!
I am so excited for Jack Jack - not only did his class receive first place for their "Old Movie Monster" themed pumpkin display but Jackson won FIRST place in the individual contest - he was beyond excited and as usual, I was beyond proud!

Mrs. Shaffer's Saturday Monster Matinee
Jackson's Strawberry - or (pumpkin decorated to look like a strawberry)!
Tonight we are taking the kids trick-or-treating, which means more pictures to come. Halloween is a blast around here - it holds quite a bit of sentimentality for me. I can remember countless Halloween's with my Daddy - he never hesitated to throw pumpkin "guts" at us or rub his "pumpkin gooey" hands in our face. But once the pumpkin guts were out - Daddy put on his serious face - pumpkin carving was some serious business at our house and I'm so proud to see that we have carried on the tradition - but I think we will stay away from knives and stick to the paint!
As once quoted in the series The Wonder Years,
"A memory is a way of holding onto the things you love,
the things you are, and the things you never want to lose".
Any Questions?
