Day to Day

Friday…
…My hubby surprised me by taking the day off from work. He took me on a date – breakfast a Strawn’s and then a trip to the Revel. We stopped by the Dollar Store for odds and ends, and checked Jackson out of school before heading home. I did three loads of laundry, cooked a huge pot of gumbo, cleaned the kitchen, baked a cake, and cleaned the kitchen again. I cut Jackson’s finger nails (why don’t mine grow like that?), let the dog out, let the dog back in. Mark took Jackson to the firing range, picked Greer up from school, picked Beth Ann up from her grandparents. I sent Mark to Target (for Imitrex) after listening to the kids scream while skidding across our new hardwood floors – so the ending of that sentence totally explains the beginning. Then…

Saturday…
…Mark and Jackson went hunting – all day, no deer for the dear. I stayed home with the girls, went for a run, kicked it with "Myweesha", cooked spaghetti, mopped, dusted, talked on the phone, watched some insane LSU football, did a little more housework (but not too much), went to bed early. So…

Sunday…
…I spent 12 hours in the ER - working my booty off (NO jokes about the amount of work it would take to REALLY work this booty off), whined about my "shin splints" all day, came home to a hot hubby, as in “hot” with a fever, that had cleaned house and cooked a roast (with carrots and potatoes). I sighed at yet another loss for Princess Pigskins (fantasy football is testing my patience), read my bible study, lifted my prayers, and turned out the lights. And finally…

Today…
…Kids up, ready for school – oh wait, Greer has fever. So, Jackson to school, Greer to bed – I did a few household chores, hit the tanning bed, then the ran - with shin splints and whined some more. Momma here from Dallas, my baby brother to visit for most of the morning – love my family time. The clouds rolled in, rain fell out – it’s about time! Baseball games canceled, Jackson to his Daddy's for a little visit. I ironed out the details for Jackson’s birthday party – gonna be A-W-E-S-O-M-E, just like him. So...

..there you have it - that's how we roll - day to day!

Any Questions?
