It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Bayou Magic: It’s what’s for dinner! Jambalaya is a huge hit at our house – this pot will be gone in a matter of moments. Dinner was complete with sweet tea, garlic bread, and a dump cake for dessert – and of course a kiss for the cook.
Jambalaya - Lindsey style! (With a little help from Bayou Magic)

Peach dump cake - I could eat the whole pan!

Things are crazy and getting crazier – and you wonder why I refer to us as the “Chaos Clan” – that’s how we roll. Amongst the insanity we are blessed – Jackson’s MRI showed only minute changes in the tumor with the overall impression that it is stable – no more MRIs for 5 months – words cannot express my gratitude and feelings of relief. Whoo! Hooo!

Christmas decorations are in place – just as someone waved a magic wand over our house – Christmas has arrived. Actually, Mark and I worked rather hard this weekend – it was worth every minute. I need to get the Christmas cards stuffed and to the post office – probably won’t happen until Friday. Our elf made his way to Elizabeth Lane – his name is Elvis (I like to refer to him as “Elfis”) – a little Christmas humor. He has not yet stirred up any messes throughout the house – but has found his way onto the fireplace mantle, the kitchen light fixture, and now on top of the Christmas tree.

Our house all aglow!

Our beautiful Christmas tree

An ornament Jackson made in kindergarden - very sentimental.

"Elfis" kickin' it in the top of the Christmas tree.

My most favorite decoration - My Willow Tree Nativity Scene.

Well, I’m headed to the shower – while I listen to the kids count (how many times must I say, “stop playing hide-n-seek in the house?”) – Mark holler at Tom Brady to throw another touchdown pass – and the cat climb the Christmas tree for the 1,000th time today. The other day I asked a friend of mine, “How do you keep a cat out of a Christmas tree?” Her response, “You don’t”… I’m starting to believe her!

There's a reason they call this the most wonderful time of the year - I can name several!

Any Questions?
