Being a momma is the most wonderfully, amazing, exhausing, profession in the world - and just when I thought today couldn't get any better, Jackson brings this home to Mark and me...he is an angel on Earth and we love him dearly!
I think it is sad that anyone feels as if it is a negative issue for Jackson to love Mark as a "dad". Mark has always been wonderful to Jackson. Mark and Jackson have a great relationship and as a momma there is nothing else I could want more for my son than a wonderful man to love my child unconditionally - Jackson and I are beyond blessed with Mark's love.
I understand your point and I think it is wonderful that he loves his Step-dad. However, how would you feel if this had been written about his Dad and Step-mother instead? I do not know if they know about this blog but if I were in their shoes it would hurt me a great deal.
Ok - I'll step out there and say it. Have you thought about this? Could it be that this letter is a reflection of the lack of any relationship between Jackson and his father - such a lacking that he refers to Mark as his Dad? Secondly - there is no step-mom, simply a girl that lives with his father - it is her presence that prevents Jackson from having any overnight visitation with his father and has been that way since days after he was diagnosed with brain cancer! I could care less whether or not they know about this blog or not - my family, our love, and their lack of participation having no control over what I post and more importantly who we call "dad" in our house! Thanks! Are you happy now?
I’ve been doing things my way for 32 years with no plans to change now. I am raising my 2.5 (include the bonus daughter) crazy kiddos with the help of my hubby, Mark – God bless his soul for being my other half – it’s not an easy job – but I do make things pretty interesting *wink wink*! Between work, kids, chores, errands, etc… It’s easy to see at our house; chaos doesn’t “reign”… it pours!
